We need more diverse books. "Be Amazing: A History of Pride" is a great introduction to LGBT activism and history for children and students. It also teaches acceptance, tolerance, self confidence, and inclusivity.
Get two copies - one to read at home and one to donate to your local elementary school. You can also donate to your public library's collection of LGBT books.
